About Us

The Nations’ Lighthouse was born from the hearts of a family deeply rooted in the Dominican Republic. Over the years, we've witnessed firsthand the struggles many children face—poverty, lack of opportunity, and the absence of safe, loving homes. These experiences stayed with us, shaping our compassion and igniting a desire to make a lasting difference.

In 2023, God called on the hearts of our founder, Loida, her daughter and son, Stephanie and John Michael Picinic. They all felt a powerful pull toward serving vulnerable children and creating a sanctuary where they could be nurtured, supported, and given a chance at a brighter future. Only a few months later, the rest of the family began to feel the same divine stirring. It became clear to all of us that this mission was not just an idea—it was a purpose God had placed within our family.

We believe that each person carries a unique, God-given light inside them. Alone, that light may flicker, but when we come together—united in faith, love, and purpose—our lights combine into something powerful. Together, we shine as brightly as a lighthouse, cutting through the darkness of this world and guiding children toward safety, hope, and opportunity.

The Nations’ Lighthouse is more than an organization; it is the expression of a shared calling, a family mission, and a testament to what God can do when ordinary people say “yes.” Our story is still unfolding, and we know this is only the beginning. With faith leading us forward, we are committed to becoming a beacon of love for children across nations, one life and one home at a time.
